About this event
Health Career Display is a two-person team event open to all three divisions. The team chooses one health career and plans a 36 by 48 inch tri-fold display with no electricity or batteries. Round One is a digital outline in slide format (no more than 16 slides plus references), uploaded as one PDF by May 15 and pre-judged out of 110 points: title slide, career overview, job responsibilities, education, entry-level salary at local, national and global levels, benefits and challenges, other relevant details, a description of the creative plan, one photo of the finished board and references.
At ILC every team attends a required display time standing with the board (15-point deduction if missed), set up within 15 minutes on a table where the whole exhibit may be no more than 48 inches wide, 24 deep and 36 high, with nothing unsafe. The top teams from Round One advance to Round Two, a five-minute presentation that explains why they chose the career, what they learned and what is on the board, with notecards only; both members must speak. Round Two is worth 115 points, scores from the two rounds are added, and ties are broken by the highest-value rubric sections.
