About this event
Pathophysiology is a solo written test for the Secondary and Postsecondary/Collegiate divisions, sponsored by iCEV. About an eighth of the test covers disease processes and terminology, including cancer and neoplasms; the rest walks through the body systems, with the circulatory and lymphatic, digestive, musculoskeletal and nervous systems weighted most heavily. Questions are written from the iCEV Pathophysiology and Anatomy and Physiology online courses, Essentials of Human Diseases and Conditions (Frazier) and Human Diseases: A Systemic Approach (Zelman). The event is one round of 50 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes with an essay tiebreaker.
